Catching up

It's been several months since I've posted here. I think my hesitation has been rooted in some strange sense of not wanting to jinx things.

My cycle is out of whack. Big time. I haven't had a period in over two months, and four pregnancy tests have come back negative. Yesterday I bled in the morning and I was never so happy to see blood. Finally we could get back to business!

No dice. It was only spotting.

It's probably just stress or something. I've been off the NuvaRing for quite some time now. My cycle before I was on birth control was not anything close to predictable, so maybe this is just my body going back to its old shenanigans. 28 days, then two months, then maybe two weeks, then a month and a half, then a month...

I made a doctor appointment at a clinic attached to the hospital that I wouldn't mind birthing at. But now that I know that my insurance covers homebirth, I'm not sure. The hospital offers waterbirth and you don't even have to go near a doctor if you don't want to. But still...it's a hospital.

So it's wait and see once again.
